Metal filings, drilling chips, cutting chips and other metal objects such as rivets and fasteners are not allowed on the surface of color coated plate, because the metal residues will cause rust spots after erosion. Once these residues are found, they need to be swept from the roof immediately, or at least at the end of each day's construction. Avoid walking on it to avoid damaging the paint film. In the case of strict requirements, the building shall be inspected within 2 weeks of installation to remove the residual substances that may rust. Removing the residue at this time will help maintain the appearance of the roof for a long time.



Stripping film



A layer of specially designed transparent organic film is applied on the surface of some color coated plates. The organic film can protect the color plate coating from scratch during storage and transportation, but it needs to be removed immediately after installation. Sunlight will enhance the adhesion between the organic film and the surface of the color plate. Therefore, the color coated plate needs to be covered when placed on site to avoid direct sunlight.

Edge cutting plates shall be used as far as possible to avoid cutting at the site. If cutting is required, cutting tools such as direct shear, arc shear, sawing machine and manual shear can be used. All cutting work at the construction site shall not damage the steel plate coating or plating, and keep the cutting edge in good condition. The cutting edge must be kept sharp to reduce burrs. When cutting, first keep the surface of the steel plate upward so that the burrs are on the back of the steel plate. Cutting processing shall not be carried out on the surface of other color coated plates. If power cutting or drilling is required, tape or rags shall be covered around the drilling hole and near the incision to prevent thermal chips from burning the coating. The use of tools such as grinding wheel cutting, hacksaw or flame cutting shall be avoided to damage the steel plate coating and coating.



Auxiliary material matching



Copper, lead, graphite and unprotected steel plates shall not be used in direct contact with color coated plates, and the loss of copper plates to steel plates shall be avoided. Color coated boards shall not be used in direct contact with wet or weathered wood and wet cement. The reasons are as follows: the water contained in wood, the corrosive chemicals treated by weathering will shorten the service life of color plate, the loss of chemically treated wood will cause corrosion, and the alkalinity of wet cement will react with the coating of steel plate.



Sandwich board

Due to the electrochemical reaction, the sandwich plate of lead and copper will accelerate the corrosion of aluminum zinc plated steel plate. Lead cannot be used as sandwich board with aluminized zinc steel plate, and copper cannot be used as sandwich board with aluminized zinc and galvanized steel plate. The recommended materials for sandwich panels are aluminum zinc substrate, aluminum zinc color plate and aluminum plate. Due to the short service life of galvanized plate, it should not be used as sandwich plate with aluminized zinc color plate. Roof panel produced by carbon free rubber and aluminum factory - penetrating sandwich panel materials, such as exhaust duct, can be used as sandwich panel with aluminum zinc plated steel plate.
