Factors affecting the price of color coated steel plate

The main factors affecting the price of color coated steel plate are the thickness of raw materials (substrate) and zinc layer, coating thickness, coating brand, steel coil thickness and packaging mode.

1. Thickness of steel coil base plate

The thinner the thickness of color coated steel coil, the higher the price. For example, the price of 0.13-0.16mm is relatively high, the price change of 0.3-0.45mm is small, and the price of 0.45-0.7 is basically the same. Because the thinner the color coated steel coil, the more meters per ton of steel coil and the larger the area. It will use more paint and take longer to process.

2. Zinc layer thickness

The price depends on the different thickness of the zinc layer. For example, the price of 20g zinc layer and 50g zinc layer varies greatly. If the customer has no requirements for zinc layer, it is recommended to select steel coil with about 30g zinc layer. The price of color coating is also affected by aluminum content. The price of color coating with 25% and 55% aluminum content is quite different. If the customer's environment is general, the color coated steel coil with aluminum content of about 25% can be selected. If it is used in humid, outdoor and perennial tropical climate, it is recommended to choose color coating with high aluminum and zinc content.

3. Paint thickness

There are two kinds of color coated steel coil: single-sided color coating and double-sided color coating.

Generally, the thickness of single-sided color coated finish paint film is 11-30um, and the thickness of back paint is 5-10um. The thickness of double paint finish is 11-30um, and the back paint is also 11-30um. The price of single-sided color coating is lower than that of double-layer color coating. Customers need to choose the appropriate color coating according to the purpose and environment.

4. Coating type and brand

The type and brand of coating also affect the price of color coated steel coil: the coating is mainly divided into PE polyester color plate, PVDF fluorocarbon color plate, HDP high weather resistant color plate and SMP silicon calcium color coated steel plate. PE coating is the most used and has a relatively large price advantage. The service life of PVDF coating, HDP coating and SMP coating is longer than that of PE coating, but the price is higher. Better paint brands include nippon, Aksu, etc. Customers also need to choose the coating brand according to the use place and environment of color coating.

5. Packing

The packaging of color coated steel coil includes simple packaging, standard export packaging and special packaging.

Simple packaging, suitable for short distance transportation, the outer layer is protected by waterproof kraft paper, with simple protection performance and low price.

The outer surface of standard export packaging is waterproof kraft paper and galvanized iron packaging. The outside of the steel coil is also protected by galvanized iron sheet. Used in long-distance transportation and containers, reinforced with steel wire. It can better protect the surface of color coated steel coil. Better waterproof effect. This kind of packing is the most widely used.

Special packaging includes vertical packaging or packaging required by customers. This packaging method can calculate the price according to the packaging cost. Vertical packaging is with the roll up and the bottom fixed on a wooden tray. This packaging method protects the steel coil from external force to the greatest extent, but the packaging cost and labor cost are high.
